Providing family suites on donor scheme

Dear Devotee, Cochin Devaswom Board proposes to introduce family accommodation on donor scheme to the deveotees coming to Chottanikkara Bhagavathy Temple.

The scheme envisages to provide accommodation for the devotees who donate an amount fixed by the board/committee formed by the board as shown below.

A plan showing a typical suite unit is attached. Each unit will have a sit out, Bed room cum living, toilet and bathroom and a small kitchenette.The bed room will be air conditioned and the suite will be fully furnished. The flooring will be with best quality ceramic.

Application for Registration

Any devotee who wishes to avail of this facility should apply in the prescribed application form.The application can be made in the name of an individual or organization. There will be 12 units available for allotment. Each unit will be made available for ten devotees on first come first serve basic.

Privileges for the Donors

The donation proposed to be collected for getting allotment of a suite from each individual / organization is Rs. 1.50 lakhs. Out of which Rs.1.00 lakhs will have to be given along with the application. The project will be started by August an expected to be completed in eight months. The balance amount of 0.50 lakh should be paid by December of four months from the date of application. All payments should be made by way of demand draft from a schedule bank / nationalished bank drawn in favour of the Convenor, Special Family Suite Project Chottanikkara Temple.

Donation and mode of Payment

A devotee who donates for the suite is eligible for free accommodation for seven days in a calender year. He can avail this as three instalments not exceeding 3 days at a time on prior intimation at best fifteen days before the requirement. During "Makom Festival" the suits will be allotted according to availability. When the units are not occupied by the allottees, the units will be hired out to outside parties at the rates fixed by the board from time to time. The allottee or his authorized nominee will use the unit in accordance with the temple rituals and customs.

Validity and Nomination

The allotment of the suite unit will be valid for 25 years.During this period, the allottee or his nominee can use the unit as described above. The application should contain the details of a nominee to whom the allotment can be transferred in case of his demise of he wishes to relinquish his ownership.
